Importance and use of cable tray
Cable trays are ideally used for building and construction purposes. Cable trays are used to hold up and distribute cables. Steel, plastic, aluminum, Fiberglass are mostly used to make cable trays. These trays are easy to customize because of its variety in sizes and shapes. The user can choose from Straight, L-shape and X-shape cable trays that can also be mixed and matched.Cable trays can be installed on ceilings, walls, or under raised flooring.
Different types of cable tray are as follows:

Ladder Cable Tray
The ladder type cable trays are manufacturedin the width from 150 mm to 900 mm: having Height from 50 mm to 150 mm and the Thickness from 16 SWG to 10 SWG with all accessories. These trays consist of two longitudinal side rails connected by individual transverse members.
Adder cable tray has two longitudinal side members connected by individual transverse members, designed for use as power cable or control cable support.

Ladder cable tray provides:
Solid side rail protection and system strength with smooth radius fittings and a wide selection of materials and finishes maximum strength for long span applications.

Standard lengths of 10, 12, 20 and 24 feet
Rung spacing of 6, 9, 12, and 18 inches
Ladder cable type is generally used in applications with intermediate to long support spans, 12 feet to 30 feet.
Solid bottom cable tray
The solid bottom tray is used to carry smaller instrumentation, data communications, computer, and telephone control and fiber optic cable from one location to another.
- Solid bottom designs, many with 22 gauge corrugation that is 3 times stronger and 21 times stiffer than 14 gauge flat sheet bottoms
- Corrugated seams between jointing sections eliminate need for bottom seam splices

Channel cable tray
Channel cable tray system consisting of one piece, ventilated or solid bottom section, designed for use with a single power cable or multiple control or single circuit cables.
- Typically used by all industries to carry smaller instrumentation, data communications, computer, telephone, control and fiber optic cable
- Ventilated or solid bottom design
- Furnished 1-3/4″ deep and 4″ or 6″ wide
- Compact size makes it easier to position around and connect to equipment
- Available in aluminum, mill-galvanized steel, steel HDGAF, stainless steel and PVC-coated aluminum or steel
Single rail cable tray
Single Rail, Center-Supported cable tray systems save time and money in those lighter-duty cable support projects that do not require a traditional dual side rail cable tray. Single Rail Cable Tray is generally used for low voltage and power cables installations where maximum freedom, side fill, and speed to install are factors.
