Large Computer Backpack
What material are carry cases made from?
I want to build a carry case for a large Computer Tower. I would like the exterior material of the case to the be the same/similar to that often used in laptop cases, backpacks and some suitcases. It’s like a fabric with a waterproof backing.
URLs to shops for buying online in the UK would be exceptionally useful.
Additionally, if anyone knows the name of, or can suggest a material for the soft inner lining, that would also be great!
Sounds like you’re talking about coated packcloth or coated Cordura or coated polyester or nylon oxford cloth.
The only sources I’m aware of in the UK that should have it are: http://www.pennineoutdoor.co.uk/catalogue.asp?cID=1 and http://www.profabrics.co.uk/ But I’m on the wrong side of the pond to be a definitive answerer here. Not sure what you’re seeing as a “soft inner lining”… backpacks and duffles here are typically unlined. The only laptop case I’ve got around to inspect is made of cordura laminated to a neoprene padding and then has interior dividers of what appears to be a lightweight packcloth.
